Am. Ch. Timatuck Khanzade Zulu King, aka "Zulu" is my fun-loving boy from an exceptionally successful repeat breeding containing specialty and group winners. Laid back and easy going, he’s matured into a solid citizen with a beautiful outline, smooth, driving movement, a lovely coat and furnishings, full mouth, and nice substance. He is a 31", very balanced dog who naturally self stacks.
Zulu has a pedigree that is deep in quality for several generations. He is doubled up on BISS AmCan Ch POSH Echovesna’s Islaev, ROMX-C top and bottom through AmCan Blackmoor Echovesna's Tristan, ROM-C and MBISS AmCan Ch Kyrov’s Crescendo, ROMX-C. And bred on the successful Kaitar x Monsoon cross top and bottom thru MBISS Am Ch Nonsuch the Talisman, ROM-C and Am Ch Nonsuch Knockout at Zadira (one of my favorite Nonsuch bitches). Rosemary Greg found Zulu to strongly resemble Am Ch Crescents Zak of Windswept (a Glace son) who figures heavily in his tail female line. Others comment on his resemblance to Am Ch Echovesna Watercolor (sire of "Cameron").
Recognized by 9 different breeder-judges, Zulu earned his conformation title by going Best of Winners for 4 points during the August 08 Midwest Borzoi Club Specialty weekend (& breed the next day). Prior to this, he was awarded RW both days of the September 07 TSE in Atlanta; RW at the 06 Rocky Mountain Borzoi Club Fall Specialty, and took a 4 point major over top-ranked specialty-winners in Colorado 9/06. Additionally, he was Winners at the Borzoi Club of America Trophy Supported Entry in Texas from the 12-18 class; earned Sweeps and Regular class placements from 9-12 at the 05 BCOA National; and points from the puppy classes. Zulu's championship qualifies his dam for ROM status.
Zulu was owner-handled to all his points.
Z is extremely prey driven but the plastic lure doesn't click. He is just a joy to have and i can only fault him on his lock picking houdini ways!
